Steve Bohnstedt, former Herald-Whig director of photography, and founder of the Quincy Poverty Project, will speak at Christ Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. The Quincy Poverty Project is a documentary-style photojournalism project that shares the stories and struggles of individuals and families in Quincy, IL living below the poverty line. As Bonhstedt shows his photographs and shares his experiences, you will learn about the lives of people impacted by poverty in our community and steps being taken to address factors that exacerbate the problems. The program is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Christ Lutheran is located at 333 S. 36th Street (corner of 36th and Holiday Drive.)
